STAFF PROFILE: Malcolm Solomano grew up on the family farm at Talbot before going on to work in the building industry for over twenty years, working in the Maryborough area mostly but included three years when he worked in Site Management across the United Kingdom.
Malcolm completed a Bachelor of Education/ Technology at Federation University in Ballarat before managing secondary school alternate programs in Maryborough and Horsham, and for five years in Alice Springs. Upon returning to Victoria he spent more time teaching in Maryborough and in another program at Clunes before starting at BalCC in 2020.
The connection to BalCC was made when Malcolm’s youngest son, Isaac completed his final two years of schooling in 2018 and 2019. Malcolm currently teaches Maths, Christian Living, Work Related Skills and using his trade experience in teaching VET Building and Construction across secondary school year groups.
