Year 6 Easter Art

March 31, 2021
For the past two weeks, the Year 6 students have been exploring watercolour paintings based on “Easter” in the Art room. Students were shown techniques such as “wet on wet” and “wet on dry”, splattering and masking. They looked at other Easter paintings created throughout history and then they were asked “what does Easter mean to you?”
The artworks shown in the photos are mostly finished, with just some final details to be added.
“Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things.” Col.3:2
“...for freedom Christ has set us free.” Gal. 5:1
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of Grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
Jesus is risen! These are artworks of praise.  I pray you have a blessed Easter.
