Mathew Knights

Mathew came to the teaching profession late in his career. After managing a number of other people's businesses in his twenties, he sought to stretch his entrepreneurial legs and stepped out on his own to run a series of small businesses.

After doing this for a decade, Mathew found that while able to find success in his chosen businesses, he concluded that there was little personal satisfaction with the repetitive selling of products and services.

Graduating from University of Ballarat in 2005, Mathew has taught in both primary and secondary settings here and in the United Kingdom. He has worked in re-engagement programs and disability services, predominately within government-managed schools. 

Finding employment in 2023 at BalCC has allowed Mathew the blessing of being able to bring the benefits of a 20-year teaching career to the College. While also experiencing the privilege of being able to work in a faith-based environment.
